Bunny lives on the 22nd story of a high-rise apartment building, and Jack lives on the first. They make compromises as friends because Jack doesn’t like heights (although he doesn’t admit it). When a cat steals binoculars from someone in their building, they solve the mystery using Bunny’s brains and Jack’s snooping tactics. This series is great for kids who are ready for books with a few chapters, similar to Amelia Bedelia or other series by Rylant such as Henry and Mudge. There are pictures on every page to give visual clues about what is happening and repetition of words so that young readers gain confidence as they read along.
