After Rain is hospitalized and Capricorn is force to go to public school, his world is turned side ways. He’s introduced to a bell which causes them to have to move in herds to the next class even when he’s not finished learning, being nominated class president as a class joke, spending thousands of the schools money without really knowing it, and finding out 1100 kids names who really adore him by the end. This book is written from the first person point of view of several of the different characters. Seeing/Reading the story from these character’s points of view makes it a heartfelt story. Any reader will root for Capricorn as he struggles and learns the new life he’s been thrown into. Schooled is a William Allen White Master List title for 2009-2010.
