I don’t normally read scary books, but for some reason, I decided to pick this one up. I ended up reading it almost straight through. If you like your mysteries to be just a little creepy, give this one a try.

Eddie doesn’t want to move, but he is excited to discover that they are moving to the hometown of his favorite horror author, who mysteriously disappeared thirteen years ago. Even though the author was famous across the country, the town seems to pretend he never lived there. The local library doesn’t even carry his books – and they’re bestsellers! Some people seemed convinced that the terrible monsters in his books are real – and living in their town. Eddie thinks they’re just paranoid – the books are fiction, afterall. But strange things start happening, and Eddie and his new friends are in for more than a few surprises.
