You read the title right: this book is about a football player in a tutu! Rufus is the biggest kid at his school, but he’s also the clumsiest. When his mom suggests ballet lessons to improve his coordination, he decides to give it a try. His teammates can’t believe he’s dancing with a bunch of little girls, but Rufus sticks up for himself and keeps going to lessons. All his hard work pays off when he gracefully swoops by the opposing team during the big game. Next season Rufus wants to try tap dancing! This is an easy to read story with a good (but not overbearing) message about being yourself. -Reviewed by Laura
