This 2009 Caldecott winner is sure to impress with vivid pictures by Beth Krommes and story by Susan Swanson. In this story, a little girl is given a key to the house where a book awaits her on a bed. When she reads the book, her imagination takes flight; she is literally spirited away by a bird. The bird takes her to the moon and back again. The black and white drawings with punches of gold add a dramatic effect to this illuminating book.
Suggested for Ages 4-8
