“Me, I am an angel. I am supposed to be having all the words in all the languages, but I am not. Many are missing. I am also not having a special assignment. I think I did not get all the training.”
The angel narrator of the story is confused about his (her?) role in life. He doesn’t know where to find the answers or even who to ask. When a young girl named Zola shows up and starts demanding answers from him, he’s not quite sure what to do. Zola tells the angel that he must do something about homeless children living in a shed. The angel didn’t even know about the children, but Zola insists that he not only should know these things, he should fix these things. How can a young girl and a confused angel save the lives of eight homeless children?
