This is an enchanting tale of a strange, old man and his unlikely adventures. The man had always lived a simple life of caring for his bees. His life began to change when a young sorcerer told him that he must have been transformed and should find out what he used to be. The Bee-Man is troubled by this news, so he begins a quest to find his original form. An imp, a dragon, and more interesting creatures meet him on his journey to find himself.
The Bee-Man of Orn is a wonderful story and quite old as well. It was first published in 1883 but has been energized with new life in this beautifully-illustrated picture book version. The rich vocabulary makes it best suited for children ages 5 and up.
