Danger & Diamonds is the first book in a new early chapter book mystery series. Phillipa lives on a cruise ship with her parents, the dance and aquatics instructors, and absolutely loves her life. But the new captain has just brought his son on board, and he sometimes acts a little strange. Phillipa is sure he is hiding something, and she is determined to figure out what it is. Meanwhile, a snobby Duchess and her two nephews are making trouble for the crew, and they seem to be a little too interested in the Captain and his family. Could the two things be related? This is a fun book filled with excitement, mystery and danger, but not enough to be scary. I’m looking forward to the next book, Parrots & Pirates, coming out in August.
