A Ghostly Good Time: The Family Halloween Handbook is a one-stop resource for Halloween fun. It’s full of creative and spooky ideas for decorating, costumes, jack-o-lanterns, and recipes. I remember fondly (and perhaps with a touch of selective amnesia) the fun of putting together homemade costumes for my family. It was always a friendly rivalry to come up with a new jack-o-lantern design. I wish I’d had this book to help! There are lots of easy costume ideas here that kids can help assemble. Each costume design is rated for difficulty, with a materials list (some of the materials are recycled). There are also recipes for treats for special trick-or-treaters, from”Ghoulash Stew” to “Witch’s Potion.” Try some of the wildly creative ideas for carving jack-o-lanterns. Halloween decorations inside and outside are becoming more popular, and this book has lots of wonderful ideas to make your own. Check it out early and have fun planning and creating a ghostly good time with your kids!
