Kat, or Katherine as her stepmama likes to call her, truly is incorrigible. But what else can she be when she is the only one who can save her eldest sister, Elissa, from marrying the evil Sir Neville? Never mind that Angeline, her second oldest sister, has a plan of her own, nor the fact that Elissa’s true love might take a hand in rescuing Elissa. Kat knows that she must act, and when she discovers that she is the heir to her mother’s magic, well, a little thing like propriety won’t stop Kat.

This tale combines Austen’s world of polite society and some not so polite witchcraft to create a delightful adventure. Kat’s incorrigibility, both a strength and a weakness, leads to many humorous and dangerous situations but ultimately saves the day. Kat is a mischievous and clever heroine who truly wants what is best for her family, and in the midst of her adventures, she discovers some unexpected things about herself.
