If you like adventure, secrets, history, or kids saving the world, you will love The 39 Clues. There is one family, the Cahills, that has been shaping history for centuries. Almost all famous people are Cahills, and they’ve been leaving clues to something mysterious and valuable. Amy and Dan Cahill have to compete with other teams from their extended family to gather all the clues in a race that gets more dangerous and difficult every day. There are ten books in the series, each written by a different popular children’s author, and a new series with new stakes has just started. Each book is around 200 pages, so they work well for young readers who have moved past early chapter books but aren’t ready for something as long as Harry Potter. There is also a website and card game that goes along with the series, so you can join in the clue hunt. It’s all very exciting!
