Amelia feels like nothing good in her life lasts: her parents’ marriage, Aunt Tanner’s support, even the clubhouse she and her friends built. And, she’s not sure if it all has something to do with her, but some words of advice lead her to an insight that could change everything. This time for the better.
Although this is the 7th volume of Amelia’s adventures, no prior knowledge of the series is necessary to enjoy the tale. Amelia and her friends have the standard middle school dramas: cheerleading, feeling left out, and dealing with the “in” crowd. But they also have larger worries, like Joan’s father being deployed. They also have their share of fun.
Fans of Babymouse will discover another empathetic protagonist in Amelia.
