    Strange visitors come to visit Johnny in this simple counting book. Starting with 1, children can count up to 10 and back down again. A tiger, a cat, and even a monkey delivering the mail come to visit Johnny, but then he must find a way to get them to leave! Maurice Sendak passed away on May 8, and he left behind wonderful stories like this one and his most popular Where the Wild Things Are.     I also really love Maurice Sendak’s hilarious pop-up book called “Mommy?”
    It’s available on the special novelty cart in the Children’s Room.
