Taylor has always been a city girl, and she likes it that way. She’s got friends, TV, and the Mall of America. When her parents buy a small farm outside a small town, Taylor finds herself pretty “discombobulated.” She doesn’t know anybody, her parents refuse to get TV, and she’s surrounded by farm animals. Things don’t go very well at school either – from accidentally wearing mud boots and a too-short skirt the first day to going to school with chicken poop in her hair – anything that can go wrong does. Taylor does manage to make some new friends, though, and with their help, she’s planning to get off the farm. The plan seems to be working, but Taylor is having second thoughts. Maybe this farming business isn’t so bad after all… Reviewed by Jessica
