Partners in Crime is the first book in the new “Sleuth or Dare” mystery series, and I’m already looking forward to the next one. Darcy and Norah have to come up with a fake business for a school assignment, and they decide to make a detective agency. Soon, though, they get a real case! Their anonymous client claims she has a missing sister that she has never met, and wants the team to find her. Darcy and Norah decide to try being detectives in real life, but someone else is sending threatening messages. Can they solve the case without getting hurt? This book really has it all–a great friendship between two very different girls, a little crush that doesn’t turn into a big romantic subplot, and mystery and danger that doesn’t get too scary. It also has one of my favorite things, which I don’t think I’ve ever seen in a children’s book, but to mention it would give away the ending. So you’ll have to read the book!
