Going Vegan: a Healthy Guide to Making the Switch is a primer for kids and teens looking to change the way they eat. While it doesn’t offer in-depth information on any particular topic, it does offer a wide range of information. Some topics covered include reasons people choose to be vegans, how to explain the choice to your family, and how to stay healthy on a vegan diet. There are also a few recipes scattered throughout the book. Switching to a vegan lifestyle can be a hard transition, especially if you don’t have support from your family. This book is a good starting point for people considering it or trying to get their family to respect their decision.

Not quite ready to go vegan, but interested in taking a first step? Check out Going Vegetarian: a Healthy Guide to Making the Switch.
