Carl
ey doesn’t remember much about the night that landed her in foster care. Just that she, her mom, and her new stepfather got into a big fight. When she woke up in the hospital, they told her that her mom was in intensive care and her stepfather was in jail. The family that Carley is sent to live with seems a little too good to be true. She knows that she should be happy that they are taking good care of her, but it’s not what she’s used to. She’s used to being on her own a lot and staying out of the way. Why did the Murphys her in? How long will she be with them? Is she really safe here? Will her mom get custody back? Does she want her mom to get custody back? Carley has a lot to deal with and sort through, but luckily, she’s finally found a safe place to do it.
