Caddy’s World

If you are acquainted with the Casson family, you will be happy to find a new story set within their creatively odd household, and if you are new to the Cassons you are in luck. The latest installment in the Casson adventures is delightful. Set during the summer Rose is born, the events take place prior to the award winning novel Saffy’s Angel. This time we see things through Caddy’s eyes as she faces the challenges of growing up and growing apart from her three best friends. As her world changes, Caddy is especially worried about the changes a new baby will bring. Then, when baby Rose is premature, Caddy is sure that nothing will ever be the same again.

With simple pleasures like starry eggs with moon tomatoes, the three best friends in the world, and a firework baby, Caddy may discover that having her world spinning on a genie’s finger isn’t so bad.
