Timothy didn’t mean to be partners with Abigail for the history project, but an ill-timed ear scratch looked like a raised hand to the teacher. While Timothy certainly wasn’t pleased to be partnered with the strange new girl who was apparently trying to set her own socks on fire, he had no idea just how bad it would get. The project was to write about an artifact from their field trip to the history museum. They both agreed that the cursed jawbone would have been an awesome project, but it was off display. Instead, they chose an ominous painting.

Things start to get crazy, though, when Timothy’s friend throws a water balloon at Abigail. She runs to the museum’s basement, and Timothy follows. Once there, Timothy sees a strange man in an overcoat and then suddenly Abigail’s hair seems to come alive with demons. Even more alarmingly, Abigail seems completely unaware of this fact. Before Timothy can say anything, Abigail’s grandmother appears with no real reason for being at the museum at all, let alone in the basement. Even after being ushered out of the museum, terrifying things keep happening to Timothy, Abigail, the boy who threw the balloon, and their teacher. Timothy and Abigail are swept up in an ancient curse that threatens to destroy them if they can’t figure it out quickly.
