Puppy’s First Christmas

Puppy’s First Christmas explores our Christmas traditions through a young pup’s  fresh eyes. Puppy is bewildered when his family brings a tree into the house, hangs their socks on the mantelpiece, and cooks a special meal.  Luckily, Puppy lives with an older Cat who knows all about Christmas!  The two watch the holiday preparations with excitement, waiting anxiously for Santa Claus to arrive with presents.  Puppy and Cat try to stay awake for Santa on Christmas Eve, but they fall asleep just before Santa arrives.  There are presents for everyone in the family, including the two friends.  The book is beautifully illustrated by Alison Edgson, with some fuzzy elements  for kids to touch.  It’s a perfect book for sharing with your little ones as their Christmas excitement grows daily.  Puppy’s First Christmas is one of the featured books at the annual Christmas storytime, 11am and 6:30pm  on December 13th,  in the library’s second floor auditorium.
