QR Code Scavenger Hunt
Welcome to the Teen QR Code Scavenger Hunt! This event will start March 1st and end on March 31st. All clues will focus on the Young Adult area, so go to the YA area to begin! Once you complete the scavenger hunt you will recevie a small prize and be entered into a prize drawing taking place at the end of March. Prize drawing winners will receive gift certificats from local retailers. You must be a teen (7th - 12th grade) to be eligible for the prize drawing. The scavenger hunt will take between 5 to 10 minutes to complete.
Lets Get Started!
Step 1: Go to the Manhattan Public Library's Young Adult section, on the first floor, and pick up a QR Code Scavenger Hunt sign up sheet to begin.
Step 2: Download an appropriate QR Code reader for your smartphone. You can download them from the App store or from the links below:
Android Phones: QR Droid, NeoReader, I-Nigma
Apple iPhones: NeoReader, Semacode, I-Nigma
Other Phones: I-Nigma, NeoReader
Step 3: Open the QR code scanner you downloaded above and scan the QR code located on the sign up sheet. Hold your phone just a few inches from the QR code and your first clue will appear. Simply follow the clue to the next location and follow the same steps until you get to the last clue. The last clue will tell you where to collect your prize and enter the drawing!
