Looking for a science experiment that seems more like a fun weekend project? Snowball Launchers has directions for twenty projects that will entertain as you teach! Use the snowball launcher to teach measurement – who can shoot their snowball the farthest? Use the heartbeat monitor (a working stethoscope!) to learn about your body. Learn how to write codes with your own Morse code telegraph.  Other projects include making automatic pet feeders and water dishes, growing giant pumpkins, building a robot, making a solar pocket watch and more. Each project includes a list of supplies, directions, and diagrams. Most of the projects use things that are easy to find, but a few need specialty items (I doubt you have an infrared photo transistor in your junk drawer!).
